Alex Blain – Media, Sponsorship and Merchandising

Alex runs a few companies in the areas of Marketing, Web Development and TV production. 18 months ago we contacted one of his companies to see if they could do some promotional videos for Aussie Invader. Alex was so inspired by the project that after doing the first video, he offered his assistance to help get our Marketing and Sponsorship up to speed. He has been on board since that day.

Alex has set up several important relationships for Aussie Invader including attracting Clarity Communications to run our PR and Media activities, Tangibility who provide our promotional merchandise and Nutwork who do our regular graphic design work, to name a few. Alex is also heavily involved with Rosco, Mark Read and Brett Boughton in setting up our ground-breaking Not For Profit Education Program, RACE.

Alex is a Perth boy. After leaving school, he went to University to study Business and after a couple of years of spending more time on his surfboard than in the classroom, he dropped out and got a job delivering pizza’s. That didn’t pay well enough so he took a job working in a factory and after 8 years climbing the ladder, ended up as the CEO of the whole business! He also managed to go back to University during those years and second time around enjoyed it so much that he ended up with a few degrees including a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Alex’s idea of the dream vehicle

Alex has travelled extensively with his work and been lucky enough to live, study and work in some great places around the world. He’s now settled down in Perth again with his young family. Alex used to think cars were only good to get you to work or the beach but after being around the Team for a couple of years, that opinion has changed!
