A lot of things have started to come together with the great work from Kentin Engineering and the expert welding from Lawson Fresher and Ruben Ruiz from ENYRB welder training.

Lawson welding rear axle locator flanges

Lawson and Ruben from ENYRB did a great job welding up our rear axle locator flanges that had been expertly machined by Kentin Engineering. These flanges will locate the rear axle and great care and skill was needed to stop any heat distortion when welding them in place.

Several other welding jobs were undertaken by Lawson and Ruben and we look forward to fitting the whole rear axle assembly, allowing us to have Aussie Invader 5R on wheels hopefully very soon. This will be a milestone for the project and a major step forward to achieving our goal of building and racing Aussie Invader 5R to break the World Land Speed Record.
