Sunday 27th May 2012 saw our team member Peter Taylor attend the annual WA Model Collectors Club at the Cannington Agricultural Pavilion with the original Aussie Invader 5R 1/16th scale hand built model along with the latest Spark model and a collection of previous World Land Speed Record models.
Touted as the “Biggest Little Motor Show in Australia” we were in good company with models of all shapes and sizes that were on display by private collectors and a lot were for sale on the day.
Sponsored by Stanbridges Hobby Shop and Triking Model Cars, who both had displays and for sale items, the pavilion was abuzz all day.
Our display was a hit with many who attended and a good number of stickers were sold along with a promise of joining the 1000 MPH Club. The organisers presented us with a certificate of appreciation and hoped we’d be back next year.
Pete now just has to get his voice back, he reckons he didn’t stop all day but it was worth it to get our message out there to a different group of people.
